What mosquito & tick control actually involves
A mosquito treatment that only fogs the air buys you an evening. Mosquitoes rest through the day on the underside of leaves, in dense shade and against cool foundations, and they breed in standing water you have probably stopped noticing — a plant saucer, a blocked gutter, a tarp fold, the dish under the barbecue. We treat the resting sites and deal with the water. One without the other does not hold.
How to tell you have them
- Bites concentrated at dusk and dawn, particularly near shrubs or shaded borders
- Mosquitoes lifting out of ground cover or long grass when you walk past
- Standing water in plant saucers, gutters, tarps, toys, or an unused wheelbarrow
- Ticks found on a dog after it has been in long grass or at a woodland edge
- A patio or deck that has become unusable in the evening

Walk the property
We find the resting sites and the breeding water, which are rarely where people expect. Most yards have three or four water sources the owner had genuinely forgotten about.

Remove the source
Standing water is the part that actually reduces the population. We show you what to tip out, what to drill, and what to keep moving — because a treatment over an active breeding site is a treadmill.

Treat the harbourage
Residual application to the underside of foliage, dense shrub lines, fence bases and shaded foundations, where they wait out the day. Not a fog: fogging kills what is airborne now and nothing that lands tomorrow.

Tick perimeter
Where ticks are a concern, we treat the boundary between lawn and woodland or long grass, which is where they wait to attach.
When this peaks in Ontario
Ontario mosquito pressure builds from late May, peaks through July and August, and continues until the first hard frost. Ticks are active any time the temperature is above about 4°C, which in a mild year means March through November — not only midsummer. Properties near standing water, woodland edges or long grass see both earlier and for longer.
